God x mortal is a romance trope pairing a deity with a human. Its tension is scale: one has forever and the power to remake the world, the other has one life and one heart. Bargains, sacrifices and the question of what a god could possibly need from a mortal drive most of these stories.
God x mortal romance is the furthest a power gap can stretch. He has watched empires fall; she has a lifetime. So the question is never whether he's strong enough to have her — it's why she, of everyone who has ever lived, is the one he can't stop thinking about. These stories borrow from Greek myth, xianxia and folklore alike, and the best of them give the mortal real leverage: something the god can't take, only be given.
