Romantic suspense is a genre that weaves a love story through a mystery, thriller or danger plot. The romance and the suspense depend on each other: the threat pushes the leads together, and the question of who can be trusted is as much about the heart as about the danger.

The best stories tie the secret to the romance itself, so that finding out the truth and falling in love are the same act.
